Hiking

The Hengill region is perfect for year-round outdoor fun. There’s been work done to help people who love the outdoors, like marking paths for hiking, putting up signs with information, building shelters for hikers, and creating a map for walking. Since 1990, ON Power and Reykjavik Energy have led these efforts, working together with the local town councils. Here you can find a link to a hiking map of the area.
